Getka SEAL Mindset

“The Mind Drives The Machine!”

At Getka SEAL Mindset (GSM), I build stronger teams and individuals by utilizing many of the same training techniques I used as a Navy SEAL and Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) instructor. GSM training is designed to challenge you. It will get you out of your comfort zone. It will test your stamina, mental focus, and ability to overcome obstacles both mentally and physically.  Winning requires rock-solid planning, training harder than your opponents, and executing your plan flawlessly.

TEAM BUILDING TRAINING

“There are two ways of doing things…the right way…and again!”

If you want a stronger more cohesive athletic or business team, then contact me for your GSM training session. Your team will be broken down into ‘Boat Crews’ of 4 to 8 people and tasked with challenging and competitive evolutions to complete. ‘Boat Crew’ is a Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training term (boats will not be use as part of training).

Leadership, communication, attention to detail, moving with a purpose, and working as a team will be highly stressed. “It pays to be a winner!”

ARE YOU READY

The beach is my preferred location for a GSM training session; however, the training methods and location can be customized to meet your team’s needs.

Mike Getka

US Navy SEAL

Michael Getka retired after 21 years of service as a U.S. Navy Seabee & SEAL in 2004.  In 1999, he was selected as Instructor of the Year for the Naval Special Warfare Center in Coronado, California.

Following his retirement, he worked as the Warrior Challenge Program Mentor for Navy Recruiting District in Jacksonville, Florida and as the Deputy National Mentor for the Navy Recruiting Command. He assisted with the oversight and mission success for 26 Navy Recruiting Districts nationwide.  The Warrior Challenge Program provides training and mentoring for SEAL, SWCC, EOD, Navy Diver, and AIRR rescue candidates.

In addition, Mike worked for Spartan Race as the U.S. Events and Operations, Real Estate Manager.  He managed over 25 race venues, corporate contracts, and negotiations, across the continental United States to include relationships with Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Football League (NFL) stadiums.

My father, who was a hardworking Polish immigrant, engrained in me a laser focused mindset, strong work ethic, and never quit attitude. Those lessons contributed to me graduating from BUD/S and led to multiple successes throughout my life.
